@catapral what aircraft rating do you have sir?
-
@rockonmario by the looks of it, we're both pilots :))
-
@catapral of course!but you also have on the Jeppesen Chart a transition altitude and also on the b737 checklist Altimeters Cross-Check and then you set the altimeters by the local QHN provided by contacted departure
-
@rockonmario in fact the transition level is specified in the initial departure information, before engine start. Either in ATIS or by request.
-
@catapral QNH+- la altitudinea de tranzitie :P
-
@rockonmario also QNH :)
-
no no, you got that right partially.the pilots are requesting takeoff clearance before they turn on the strobe lights and enter the runway, then the atc would say "you are cleared for takeoff on runway xx winds xxx/xxx" and then the pilots would finally readback.hope it helps.and by the way, departure is a slang for takeoff, but still, in aviation school they avoid this term, like the bird thingy(flight vector path)
-
@rockonmario that's what i was saying... take-off is only said by ATC and by the pilot but only in readbacks.... still, strange
-
@catapral it's not a PA announcement for the passengers, it's the standard takeoff clearance request for the ATC(air traffic control)

Daca ai stii tu cat trebuie sa inveti si cate examene trebuie sa dai ca sa fii "chelnerita", ca sa nu mai vorbesc de piloti...
