Hammerhead - Our Debt

2008 - This is our literal interpretation of the Hammerhead song, specifically filmed for this contest, ALL footage WAS shot by us. We really wanted to hit on the main idea of the song (with a little added story for plot progression purposes) and we hope we at least got close. Our budget was zero (as you probably can see) the short film was made in a week and a half, which would explain some of the unfinished parts, but none the less I hope you all enjoy.

By chance have you listened to the song? if you look up the Hammerhead lyrics you will see the school shooting is in the song. That is why we did the shooting, to reflect the lyrics of the song.

Wow, that was a really cool video. You achieved everything what everyone else was trying to get out of theirs. Of course it's way better. I think it would be very unfair to compare you to theirs because you obviously knew what you were doing. Most of the people that added their videos didn't have as much expierience as you. But you definitley deserve to win.

"as much experience as you" If I may ask what do you mean? Im 19 years old, just graduated from high school, and have no experience besides just doing this stuff for fun. I really hope people dont think of us as pro's who make money off this stuff, just for the record we have never made a dime off the movies we make, its 100% for fun. We just are very detailed about our work, just like everything else we do :). I dont mean to sound snooty, I am making sure people know this isn't a big production

I wanted to say I love this song, my husband is active duty army currently serving in iraq, and when he first played this song, i fell in love with it. it didnt strike very close to home until he deployed and a few months ago shot his first person, watch friends get hit by ieds and have to take it all like its normal. my husband asked if he was a bad person for what he had done, he had in the process saved a fellow soilders life by the shot he fired. i told him no, he did what was right

Did you read the video description? It says literal interpretation.

That means they act exactly what the words convey. "and you can all hide behind your desks now/and you can cry teacher come help me" is evidence of a school shooting.
