  • No problem. Good luck.

  • Yeah but I would buy it before knowing how it works and if it works good or bad...Anyway maybe you're suggestion is the only way.

    Thank you danny

  • I know you probably have a lot of trouble getting people to ship to Italy due to the strict shipping rules, but maybe you could order it online? Ebay would be a good start.

  • it could be good to just try it but in my city there's nothing but strato or les paul...stupid dealers...

  • Sorry, I accidentally deleted one of your comments -- I clicked remove instead of reply.

I don't think the springs are the same that is used on a Strat trem.

A Mustang tremolo should work on an SG just fine, I think. If you can get a Bigsby, it might be best to go with that, though.

  • Yes I read about it. I think the springs are the common strato's one so it's not so difficult to find'em.

Anyway what I want to do is to replace a SG bridge with a tremolo.....continue->

  • Oh, I would like to add that from what I have read, I think the Jaguar tremolo is better if you replace the Jaguar bridge with a Mustang bridge. You might have seen a lot of Jaguar and Jazzmaster guitars with Mustang bridges -- that is why. The Jaguar bridge is poorly designed.

  • Hello. The Mustang tremolo does not stay in tune very well, but if you use it enough you will learn its limitations and it will not be so bad.

The problem with the Mustang trem is that the springs are too weak. If you found heavier springs, it would be fine. I honestly do not have any experiences with the Jaguar tremolo, so I cannot compare. I hear that it is better, though.

I hope that helps. Take care.

  • hey! good stuff!

How do you consider mustang tremolo?

Someone told it's better than jaguar's!
