Went to fight Grendel and take off his head

Cause Grendels momma found out and went out of her mind
She went into the hall like she was mad at all mankind
Her anger and a warriors life had to intertwine
Beowulf went to fight, her home, he would find


Then they started fighting and it was like he was gonna die
But then he took a sword and made her head de-attach.
Then he came back to the hall victor of his match
Made it look so easy came back with a look of pleasure


Went back to his home and he gave away his treasure
Soon after he was a king
But the people never appreciated the treasures that hed bring


Years passed and years passed and now he was old
But then there was some bad news that he had to be told
A dragons come, its a massacre, hes killing off our people
Nobody could kill the dragon he needed an equal


Beowulf went and took him he got disarmed
And all the warriors went away from the harm
Wiglaf was the only one with the guts to come and help him
But even then Beowulf knew his chance was slim


He killed the dragon and then dragon killed him
And the messenger told the cowards their fate was looking grim
Beowulf wanted peace for his men but they got war
And the warriors did not have Beowulf anymore
Life just wasnt life without him
Warriors just werent warriors without him
He was illy
