i was messing a litle bit with the gear and recorded it on tape.

triton le(drums and pad)and the ax 80(bass-line)
are triggered from the mc 505

piano sound from technics kn 3000

was taken in one shot (so with mistakes :p)

1:14 is very nice, nice basic for a very great rap song if you ask me.

2:20 went wrong but its a nice idea, also great variation on the basic sound.

If i had the money i also want a tyros 2, for replacing my kn 3000, it a hell of a machine but very expensive.

i have this synth about 15 jears now

but if you can buy one they go about 300/500 euro (depending what state its in)

they are rare.

the ax 80 is from 1984, 24 jears old!

Very cool dude, i also have an ax80. But all the 32 patch\programing buttons are dead. so is the midi interface:S Or the midi is not dead, it just triggers totaly random notes when i try to sequence the synth from another midi device. Is that like a common problem? Is it fixable? The synth works fine, but i cant program it or use the midi interface...:(

cool that you have the ax 80.

about your broblem, i think some connections of the cables on the frontboard are broken, or have an failure.

the ax80 has simmilar problems with the displays.

so maybe opening the case and take a closer look on the boards and cables hope you can fix it because its a beatifull machine....

about the midi,i cant help you with that, its a simple 1-16 midi channel select nothing more.

Lol yeah bet thats pretty old. If you check my 2 video's, that is the Yamaha PSR-7000 or PSR-8000. Nice sounds too, also 300 / 500 euros =]

Hey i opened it, and managed to fix the problems with the buttons. I had to resolder the conections between the button boards. now im able to program it, and my god it sounds awesome!
