You're likely using an HP 1000 or a 1200 then. Replace the toner cartridge. Look in the phonebook for a local recycler. They're usualy under printers. They'll have a rebuilt one for much less than at the store. Likely around $55. If it's a brother printer you'll need to replace the drum unit not the toner.
