The eighth graders from Altona Middle School in Colorado got a special treat during their WorldStrides trip to Washington, D.C. - they got to meet the President! President Obama received a letter from a concerned mother explaining how a government shutdown would really upset her son who was very excited about his WorldStrides trip to Washington, D.C. Not only was a government shutdown avoided, but the President decided to give this group an extra special welcome.
