2011 Day of Giving

It's back and bigger than ever. The 2011 Day of Giving is October 4, 2011 on PittsburghGives.org.

In a 24 hour period last October, over 7,780 donors generously supported over 400 nonprofits with $3.3 million dollars -- that was $38 per second. Since 2009, Day of Giving events have pumped $7 million dollars into local nonprofits.

Are you excited as we are for 2011? Will you help us eclipse $3.3 million this year? Again this y...ear it will be a 24 hour Day of Giving, from 12 midnight to 11:59 PM on October 4.

The match pool for this year will exceed the $500,000 provided last year and we will make the official announcement of the total matching funds closer to the event date.

Any and all gifts of $25.00 or more made to eligible organizations during that 24 hour period and only gifts during that period will receive a commensurate share of these funds. That means that again this year, anyone that makes a donation will receive a match. We are grateful to our foundation partners who helped us provide these matching funds.

Over 600 nonprofit organizations will participate in 2011.
