Fallout 3 - Gauss rifle and Mutants: epic battle (HD)

A powerful gun, does 100 damage (with 100 Energy Weapons skill points. I have 62 skill and I get 73 from the gun). Good for far to medium range. A little bit difficult to control and to aim as you see in the video, excellent for sniping but with a slow rate of fire-after every shot you must reload it. It has an ingredible stopping power-a real shock for the enemy-and this give you sometimes the time to reload and fire again. Uses microfusion shells, that means you will not have problem to find ammo. Repairing is the real problem as you can't find a second in the Wasteland. Maybe somebody with high repair skill-as Lucky Harith the caravaner-can do something, but the gun perhaps will never be again at 100% CND.
UPDATE: there is a solution for the repairing by taking the quest Merchant Empire. It is an unmarked quest and through it you can rise the repairing skill of the caravaners. You can talk with Uncle Roe in Canterbury Commons that you want to invest some caps in the caravans (first investment 200, second 500. If you have the master trader perk then you pay the half of these) Choose the caravaner you want to invest, prefarably Crazy Wolfgang or Lucky Harith , and you can rise his skill up to 75 (for Crazy Wolfgang) or 70 (for Harith). And you will have some other benefits, like gifts from the caravaners and a wider variety of items for selling.
UPDATE. GREAT NEWS! YOU CAN REPAIR THE GUN 100% through a glitch in Point Lookout. Go to Haley's Hardware and enter the shop. Haley has only 11 repair skill, but every time you leave his shop and re-enter it you raise his skill about 5 points. Repeat until it reaches 100. Some times you must travel a big distance from the shop to create the effect.

THe black woman on Mothership Zeta can repair your guns to 100% every time. I forgot her name but yeah you break out of the room with her at the start so KEEP HER ALIVE BECAUSE OF HER REPAIRING SKILLS.

You talk about Somah. The problem with that bitch is that her repair skill is not always the same (this is a bug of the game) and after completing the Mothership Zeta DLC she leaves and you will not see her again. So any repairs she can do is only during that mission. I have found another solution for repairs at 100% always available through a glitch in Point Lookout. Read the info of this video if you like.

easily my favorite gun in F3. I use it for everything- long range, close range, whatever!

i love nailing fucktard raiders from nearly 300 yards away :D, and that knockdown is fucking godly!

a note: the Gauss rifle scope if not zeroed out, it begins to lean up and to the right of the red dot in the center of the crosshair at extreme distances, keep this in mind when firing it.
