There is a difference between "Factory Certified Ready to Shave" and it being true shave ready. Always send your new razors to be honed so they will be truly "shave ready."

I have bought myself a very nice new Dovo of Solingen Straight Razor Renaissance Ivory Imitation Handle 6/8" and a Dovo of Solingen Russian Type XL Cowhide Hanging Razor Strop. I have tried to shave but it seems either I don't know how to do it properly or the razor is not sharp enough. Do you know if by default Dovo straight razors are sharpened enough? Or do I need to hone it? Thanks!
