ASCENT 2009 - Women in Science

The ASCENT 2009 Conference was hosted by Storm Peak Laboratory in Steamboat Springs, Colorado through the efforts of co-investigators Dr. Gannet Hallar (Storm Peak Lab/Desert Research Institute), Dr. Linnea Avallone (University of Colorado) and Ms. Laura Edwards (Desert Research Institute).

This ten minute documentary short features Storm Peak Lab and interviews with atmospheric, aerosol and related inter-disciplinary scientists participating in the ASCENT 2009 conference. The video explores the subjects of professional networks, mentors, scientific collaboration and issues particular to female scientists.

This video was produced, directed and edited by Mr. Ilo Orleans (ad hoc productions, LLC) and funded by the National Science Foundation, Desert Research Institute and Storm Peak Laboratory.
