Actually this song works fine at a faster tempo. My problem is the band took too many liberties with the chords. You don't want to change a song like this too much.
See my group's version of "Look of Love" (at my youtube page) for a lesson on how to properly cover a Bacharach classic. Some folks say our rendition is better than the original, and it probably is.

I don't know if Burt wrote that song for Dusty Springfield but you do it justice. As a fan of Mr. Bacharachs work, it doesn't need alot of rifts and frills... You have potential keep it up!
