Ivanhoe Energy (IVAN) is higher after its CEO says a new patent has been issued that broadens and extends Ivanhoe Energy's intellectual property related to its HTLTM (Heavy-to-Light) heavy oil upgrading technology.
The new patent was issued in the United States in the name of IVAN's technology partner, Ensyn Corporation, and relates to Ensyn's RTP (Rapid Thermal Processing), the core technology underlying the HTL process.
Ivanhoe shares are up 0.76%, or $0.02, to $2.99.
