they still didn't explain (in the books or movies) what happens to the soul that gets sucked by the dementor's kiss - is it trapped in the dementor?
can dementors be "killed" (to free the souls inside)

@AdamMoss13 dementors will win, the nazgul from lord of the rings are men,you can kill them or send them away with anything and they hurt like men,remember awen was able to defeat them with water,and aragon set fire on them and ewoyn killed the witch king with a sword,dementors are not human beings they can only be defeated with a particular spell and also they can suck out your soul,the nazul use swords

@qbblast i guess because in the third, they were a good force and wanted to conceal their appearance, or more like azkaban wanted to conceal their appearance. Now in the fifth, voldy controls them and it makes them seem more intimidating. Total guess, my opinion
