@scottact Brittany Murphy appeared in a few television films and episodes. John Hughes was a close friend and mentor to a lot of the people who direct television shows.

Where the bloody hell is Andy Hallett?! He was such an amazing actor on Angel as well as an extroadinary singer. He died two years ago yesterday, God bless him. RIP <3

Why would they show John Hughes or Brittany Murphy?? This is the Emmy awards not the Oscars. Hughes and Murphy had nothing to do with television.
