@MissScarlett27 That dive thing is just called a 'dive roll', I think. More gymnasts should put it in their routines, it's so cool!

She was the last competitor in the Games, she scored a 9.85 and finished 6th.

So charming! I really miss these times!!

Saw her at a USA/Czechoslovakia junior meet in early 1978 and she was listed as 11 then, so would probably have been 14 here. She was definitely a delight to watch and I had wondered what ever happened to her--glad to see she did at least get to the Olympics!

why would anyone start a routine whit 1,5 twist into a full twisted back handspring or whatever it is like nadia comaneci on that olypics....????cos back than that was hard tumbling and the floor was not good as today....

"why would anyone start a routine with a double twist?" I think double twist was considered a hard pass back then.

Yeah, I don't know, but I grew up doing gymnastics in the late 80s/early 90s and a whip back whip back double full is hard, I don't care what you say. Maybe it's not Olympic anymore, but it would be difficult. What is the name of the swan dive thing she does at :28? I love that move. So elegant.
