Cessna decided to maximize there profits. So what did they do? What does every company do to maximize profits? CHINA!!!! Built by the country that is not trusted to produce anything with more than two moving parts. I wonder if they will be selling portable parachutes just in case of the need to bail out. Produced for $30,000 and sold for $120,000. Why didn't they pass this 75% cost savings on to the consumer? Greed!!!!!
No yokes, ugly cowl styling, built in China, crazy price tag for a nothing plane and 2 out of 2 have crashed so far. If this plane attracts a crowd, it'll be those with a morbid curiosity rather than buyers.
Sorry Cessna, after producing quality aircraft for this long, a dud was bound to come up and I believe this is the one. :(
490lb useful load? 890 fpm climb? $111,500.00? Why not just go buy a used Cub or Champ, learn to use the rudder pedals? And built in China? Get real Cessna. What a let down. I guess I'll stop wasting time here and surf on over to look at used Luscombes, Cubs, Champs, Cheifs, and all kinds of other LSA eligible planes with almost the same specs for about half the price. Or, I could look at building a kit myself with better performance and specs all the way around for half the price.
