Does fat make you fat? How much fat is enough? How much is too much? Fat is the most energy dense macronutrient we take in at 9 calories per gram. However fat has been cast in a negative light recently and most people are afraid to have it in their diets. In this video we talk about the importance of fat in our diets and our daily lives. In future videos we'll get more in depth on the kinds of fats along with other fat related info.

For most diets I recommend somewhere between 20-30% of total calories be derived from fats.

  • @hypoxide I'll def have to try to watch it. Thanks for the tip!

  • @prodigysonic422 Thanks, really appreciate it!

  • you just earned a new sub!

  • @CampbellFitness A lot of it addresses the misconception of the low-fat diet concept introduced in the 80s and the horrific fallout it has created in the states (in regards to obesity, heart disease, etc). But, it also explains how the liver processes nutrients, why fiber is essential, what sugar does when it enters your body, and so on. Parts of it are kind of a schlep, but I consider it and Nutrient Timing by Ivy and Portman the two most valuable dietary resources I've encountered.
