@greenmanadragon thats not always the case. i married young and i am loving every steps and adventure of it. when you are married to the right person, no matter ow young you are, marriage is not a sentence its a journey.

Married young is a sentence. I believe the age for marriage should be 40; when the two persons gain enough knowledge (philosophy of life) for the preservation of the race. For those who married yound: You wasted your life and you have forgetten about your civil duty to your people.

MY Friend got married at a young. I believe not to get married untill im like 26. Now he has like 4 kids and didnt finish high school so did his wife. while i finish college and making enough money to get by with no dept. MY friend works his butt off for food and rent and its still not enough. He will always tell me that he should of listen to me and waited untill he's on his feet. I help him alot but it makes me sad how he will be like this for his whole life.

We can't end the Hmoob wedding traditional way..We keep it alive...Hmoob txaij npab (Hmoob Strip) they have different wedding rules. Hmoob dawb qab teb ua tshoob yooj yim zog..Each clan has different ways and rules..

yeah that's true. my parents did this at my wedding but my in laws didn't do at my sis in laws. my mom always say that the only time the will hias zaj tsoob is your first marriage and to make it memorable b/c it doesn't matter how many times you get marry, you'll only entitled to it the first time.

Thanks. I am White Hmong and married into a Hmong Strip clan. This is the traditional marriage ceremony. Most Hmong weddings these days don't include this ritual because they like to get it done and over with. I'm very happy though that we had a chance to do this for my wedding.
