Anti Bullying Puppets Shows for Kids

The Al Mccray Show, Tampa Bay News & Talk. The Child Abuse Council of Hillsborough county, est. 1977, and Kids on the Block, performs Puppets shows in elementary schools in Hillsborough county Florida. Patricia 'Trish' Sandag is the director of the Puppet show. On this particular day, the show was at Robles Elementary school. These Puppets teach the children anti bullying tactics and safe guard procedures. For over 15 years hundreds of thousands of kids have seen these shows in hundreds of schools. Doretha Edgecomb, now a Hillsborough county school board member, witnessed the first performance when she was the principal at Robles Elementary school in the ninties. Because of the economic recession, Child Abuse Council has lost substantial fundings to continue to operate this program, which cost less that $6 per child per year. Paul D'Agostino the founder, has been executive director since 1977. Donations and fundings sources are greatly needed for the continuation of this worthwhile educational program. I urge the local school board, local governments, charties and fondations to closely examine this program and provide much needed funding. This is a great program.
