mix[ing]redients@Studio /K

mix[ing]redients is an interactive dance-music performance in which the audience can influence the performance with their laptops and smartphones. A web application enables them to control the light that is coming from dia projectors and the sound that is generated by a solar sound module which is attached to the body of the dancer.

mix[ing[redients is a project by the open mode collective.

Using solar cells, FM-transmitters, radios, webcams and open-source programming platforms (Python and Supercollider) the collective works with real time transcoding between different elements of a performance (light, sound, graphics) and looks for open/collaborate forms of composition in combination with more deterministic ones.
