110 soldiers from 16 Air Assault Brigade were welcomed home from Afghanistan by Members of Parliament today. The soldiers, who returned from Op Herrick 13 in April paraded to the House of Parliament to attend a reception with the All Party Group for the Armed Forces. Lt Col Frazer Ross, CO of 23 Engineer Regiment (Air Assault) who deployed, as part of the Brigade last autumn lead the parade. 16 Air Assault Brigade spent 6 months in Helmand Province as the lead formation of British troops and lost 22 of their comrades. The parade met outside Westminster Hall by the Serjeant at Arms, Jill Pay and James Gray MP, Chairman of the All Party Parliamentary Group on behalf of both Houses.
