In this episode of TechBits, I run through overclocking basics. This is not an overclocking tutorial, but rather some helpful hints and information.

  • You said that you should text overclocks in small increments. Suppose I finish overclocking and successfuly take my e5200 from 2.5GHz to 3.4GHz and it's stable.

If I ever removed the overclock and put my CPU back to stock speed, could I then later on overclock again and go straight to the settings that worked before? Or do I need to go in small steps all over again even with the same hardware?

  • @ldelporte You can go right to the values that you determined would work.

  • hey... somehow my comp clock mult already at its highest that is x23...

is there another way i can improve my permormance

  • @PilotGery1 You'll need to increase your clock, and possibly your voltage.

  • Reading off of something xD hehe still a nice video dude keep it up

  • @atomdragon4 Thanks :) It's hard to remember everything I want to say!

  • @holastickboy just do it quickly.. overclock untill it doesnt turn on :D then go backwards

  • i use to be a computer nerd but then i took an arrow to the knee

  • @silyanina just as a measure clean the whole thing, a major cause of overheating as had been mentioned in earlier parts of techbits also is too much a of dust and also too many wires hanging in the case blocking the flow of air (use smart wires or bind them to the side) :-) Hope this helps

  • @rucka704 Everybody like conputers, mp4-s, smart phones, etc. "Nerds" MADE IT!!!

  • My CPU temp is 65 and I have never overclocked it D:

  • @rucka704 If you hate them so much why your even here?

  • I've always been told to over clock the component slowly until it's not stable, the pull the speeds back a little to ensure you have the fastest speed.
