There is a crater. Or so it's theorized; a lake filled bowl near the site of the meteorites "impact".

Some believe that this crater was formed when a piece of the meteorite shot by the explosion above ground struck the earth.

@PrankishSmart it was actually only 800km, but it didnt explode on contact with the earth, it exploded when it hit our atmosphere, so none of earths surface was incinerated,
