A brief overview of how to turn off other Macs on your network using Terminal and SSH.

You can cut & paste this command to shut down your Macs:
sudo shutdown -h now

    it said: ssh: connect to host 172.16.4.212 port 22: connection refused

  • windows sharing... Macintosh and Windows sharing files... EPIC #FAIL

  • I did this on my MacBook, but it only beeped 4 times and shut down my MacBook, but it didn't do anything at all to my brother's MacBook.

  • Can't you do this to remotely shutdown a PC using a Mac?
