I have never really had a problem hating writers per se. This is largely because I'm neither Marvel nor DC fan, going more for the independents where the egos (and paychecks) tend to be a lot smaller.

i don't hate loeb but his batman stories are good although they are way too similar

So in terms of the Comic-books fandom, it's not like the game console fandoms where you're either a fan of Marvel or DC. I'm guessing Blowhimselfupdude that you never saw the Marvel Vs. DC crossover event that came about in like 1996 where fans got to vote who would win. Ultimately it wound up being a tie which resulted in the creation of the short-lived Amalgam line.
