It was a key by-election so it was essential that they didn't fail to screw the vote by posting extra postal ballots. This guy on here needs his head felt. NO-ONE wants NuLiebore to get elected ANYWHERE at the next election. They are looking at political devastation at the next general election.

To stand on the podium for your acceptance speech and reiterate LIES about education cuts, when funding has gone up 10% is a new low. Remember 30 out of 32 local authorities charge £11 an hour to those under 65 who can afford care, particularly those on DLA who are given £200 a week. The change in pricing allowed 1000 more people free care in Fife.

Not quite sure what lessons you might learn? West Devon is a Conservative seat with 44% of the vote. Labour came third in 05.
In Generates, Labour, holding the seat went up 3%. While SNP, the challengers, up 15%. Both Conservative and Liberal lost deposits.
Do you really hope to win in Devon by following the same lessons of Labour here? Much of it was centred by Labour, as you said, on very, very local council issues but with national policies....
