In Genesis 12:2 and 12:3 God makes promises to Abraham. In Genesis 22: 15-17 He repeats the promise and adds to His promise an oath to Abraham, which He did not have to do. His promise was good enough. He made an oath to Abraham so he would have no question in his mind that God will fulfill His promise. God went above and beyond the call of duty for Abraham. God is desperately eager to assure you that He can save you from your sins. When God made a promise, Abraham could take that to the bank. When God added an oath to the promise, Abraham could take that to Fort Knox! God wants you to know and have no doubt that He can save you from your sins. An uplifting sermon, a must see.
