KLMUsical - TVC for KL Metropolitan University

"Let's do a musical."

That, essentially, was the pitch to our client for our latest TVC, produced for Kuala Lumpur Metropolitan University College (KLMU). And so it was, that within 3 weeks, we were on location at Lake Gardens, filming a model walking through a fake door, and tossing a mortarboard into the sky with 20 other students who emerge out of nowhere. While singing. It was somewhat surreal, to say the least.

With the participation of 40 KLMU students with boundless energy, the shoot often felt like a student project - sometimes spontaneous, sometimes irreverent, sometimes experimental. But always focused and professional.

From storyboard, to casting, to shoot, to editing and TX within four and a half weeks - here is KLMUsical! the TVC, shot with the Canon 7D on a steadycam rig, soundtrack mixed by The Ark Studios.
