I major in psychology, and this experiment is actually set up really badly (even though it's not obvious at first). Random assignment is better in this sort of situation. They didn't assign random men to each bridge, and therefore, how do you not know the more 'courageous' men didn't take the scary bridge?

I've done my share of helping people in need and stopping when i thought something wasn't right to help, but I've also done my share of walking by and letting someone else take care of a situation.
