Here's my review of the NES port of Double Dragon. Sorry about the sound on the video. I've been having problems with my microphone and I hope to get a new one soon to remedy the problem.

After I played Renegade I just had to go ahead with playing Double Dragon on the NES. Another classic from the fine folks at Taito and Tradewest. When I was a kid I used to think the NES got the wost version of the game due to the lack of a two player game, but having the added feature of being able to level up your character and earn new attacks is great. Plus the game plays much better then the Sega Master System version, so unless you have a friend over to play Double Dragon, the NES version's always the way to go.

  • Great video. Game sound is way to loud, I can barely hear you.

  • I know, I screwed up when I was putting the audio into it, plus my mic isn't the best, so I plan on getting a new one this Christmas along with some other things to make the videos better

  • Great review.

Double Dragon was the very first game I ever saw on NES and on a regular television. Before that we had had a couple of different computers and a few games, but most of my playing was done at the local bowling alley.

This port is my favorite version of Double Dragon - I like the "leveling up" of your character to do more moves, the music, the stages, and it even had a vs fighting mode included in it.

  • Ts SMS version was way better tant this crappy NES version.

  • the x box live version of this game is crap it lags so bad and im not even playing on line the game is just really slow

  • I remember playing the SMS version, I rented it, man that was along time ago...

  • Yep, a classic indeed!

  • Cool video man! I agree with your opinions. And thanks for not using emulation.
