Edited version of the first two days of the Jeopardy! Watson special featuring only the match.
(The recording missed the intro from Monday, so I used the Tuesday intro)

Watson probably chatted up the buzzer system so he got there before everyone else.

Only if this was the only problem.
i) watson processes words faster
ii) watson is purposed to parse the grammar of the sentence in this peculiar format in which humans are not trained at all in real life situations
iii) humans have to exert constant cognitive control to remember to start sentence with "what is" which is costly for humans but easy for watson
I did not elaborate in the entire purpose of engineering of watson but tried to be limited in comparison of task-relevant processes

Woha, that reply is a bit late. I had no idea what you referring too and had to check my original comment :D
Not only gave Ford money to Hitler, he also wrote a book about "the modern jew" that was a direct inspiration for Hitler's "Mein Kampf". Also Hitler once presented IBM's Watson and Ford the highest award a non-german could get, which Watson accepted but Ford wisely declined.

What the hell are you talking about the CPU in your computer or phone is probably 32 nanometers or smaller. The other parts are designed on a the same scale. You've got no fucking idea what you're talking about. His processing power is 2.52e+12 caculations per second or 12,000 Ghz. It does take up a small room but it is racked and not that bad. It win't get much smaller from this point. 14-19 nm is under development and is likely close to the limit.

There's a lower limit for the computers to be used/handled by humans though. If they get TOO small, then we'll drop them and lose them. :(
