3:54 is just incredible. 4 notes. 4 fucking notes. Steve Vai can play about 15 notes a second and none of his stuff will ever be as powerful as those few seconds of 4 notes. How the hell can 4 notes sound so amazing? I actually feel scared, exited, big, small, chilled out all at the same time at 3:54. No one can write music like this

@TheOmnibot  Yes. I do have the album. After spending 30 years in the civil service I can concur with such sentiments as are expressed on "Welcome To The Machine". I had a brief, youthful career as a punk rebel !

Even though I believe the band were tight in highlighting Syd's mental dishevelment, at least they made sure he got his royalties. If only they had had a word with Syd's LSD supplier. If only.
