  • quick question who is the composer of all musictracks in your videos?

  • Nice video i use avid now for a month and its better then sony vegas adobe prem. and FCP but you got to rethink editing.

  • Just to reverse the spin a little bit, Where The Wild Things Are was done on FCP. Avid and FCP are just tools. One sometimes better than the other, but this video is a bit one sided... but of course it is an Avid commercial. Know both programs. Nothing worse than not getting a gig because you're not qualified.

  • Apple has been 'pretending' to be involved with Movies and TV for a long time (LOTR for example) and in Europe they have just had a Webinar with an editor who moved to FCP and has cut one show on it - so they are doing exactly this kind of thing. I use both, prefer Avid, but have my eyes open to everything!

  • Sounds to me like he never really learned to understand FCP for all it's capabilities. We've done entire series and features on FCP without complaint or reservation. I know of dozens of major netowrk shows that are being cut with it. Funny, Avid...Apple doesn't need to make videos explaining how they're better than Avid...feeling threatened?

  • THANK YOU Robin! Avid is way more efficient than FCP and you explained that very well. Great vid!

  • and that's why i am 18 years old and i started editing on avid 4 years ago

avid is the best and most professional programe you can have

it take's some time to learn it....but its worth it...

althow i upgraded from avid express to media composer and alot of things that i was used to just changed...
