Directed by Catherine Breillat. Based on Charles Perraults grisly fairytale, Bluebeard tells the story of young Marie-Catherine, child bride to an aristocratic ogre with a reputation for murdering his wives. Controversial director Catherine Breillat (The Last Mistress, Fat Girl, Romance) brings her personal touch to this classic tale, a favorite of good little French girls since the 1950s. Princess Marie-Catherine must employ all her cunning to outwit her husband and escape the most unpleasant of fates. An Official Selection at the New York Film Festival 2009.

  • @amanda13val You can watch it on Netflix. The Australian ebay has it.

  • I've always loved movies based off of folktales. They're always so interesting. (This one being one of my favorites besides The Robber Bridegroom.) I don't know if there was a screening where I am. (Alabama) but I'd love to see it. (With English subtitles I hope.)

  • @SabrinaNinaJulie possibly

  • @bajess

maybe, just maybe, if you read the true story, you shan't think it is so gay.

i personally thought it was a well done movie trailer, it could have been better, but it was definetly respectable.

  • @bajess i thought the same thing.

  • I'll Live in a Castle! Yeah right, not if you act emo all the time

  • It sucks living in Texas

  • I dont mean to sound to harsh...but this movie looks really gay!
