Growing up in Suffolk when this was first on, I never realised it was a period drama. I thought contemporary Wales (mid 1980s) was still like this!

I could never really be bothered watching this series, but i remember thinking at the time that the theme tune was superb. It still sounds great a quarter of a century later.

The begining as nerys hughs goes round the corner on her pushbike, Thats the area they call the "flight", Its just up the road from cefn golau pond and the halfway pub overlooking Abertysswg, Alot of stolen cars get dumped over that mountain.
