Thank you so much for uploading this. There are so many of Jose Carreras’ performances that were never recorded on VHS and those that have, have not made it DVD. Some performances were televised but the tapes or DVD's have never come out. I don't live in Europe so I can't just pop off to Italy, France, Barcelona or Vienna to see Jose Carreras live. Videos, DVDs and CDs are the only way to see and hear the great Carreras. Bravo Carreras, we are still watching and listening.

I have never seen this before now. It's wonderful.!! I love the beautifully timed finish finish. The audience certainly seem to like it too. I so wish i could have seen him live in an opera. I have d.v.d's, but live must have been awesome.

Thank you so much for posting this! I bought "Carreras Sings French Opera Arias" way back in the 80's, but the only format I could find was audio cassette. Needless to say, I wore that tape out, and I have not heard Carreras sing this aria since. This clip confirms what I thought then: that Carreras was singing with an optimal and superior instrument. In some ways, this was a high water mark in his career. I cannot imagine anyone else singing this better or more passionately. Bravo! Encore!
