Awesome 4 wheeling event in Harrisonburg, VA - Big Boys Playground. Even though the front yoke at the transfer case snapped it was the best event yet for me.

  • nice rig

it could use a nice beefy winch bumper though

  • Thanks, yeah there is a lot of things that need done to it. After the winch, an exo skeleton and a couple other necessary items to complete the rig. Thanks for the comment.

  • Actually, later I found out it was the pinion gear in the front ring & pinion housing. It wasnt till after I posted the video that I broke the axle down to find what the real issue was. Ended up breaking 3 teath off the pinion gear.

  • nice try. what a truck and a @#*! of a mud rut.

  • Thanks. That was the 3rd rut of that obsticle. didn't quite make it.

  • sick truck. hey i got a 79-83 as well. where did you get your fender flares? i need some front and rear badly. and yours fit nicely, ive searched but havent found shiot for a 79-83 body yota. let me know. thanks. Ill get vids of my truck up soon enough.

  • Well if u had an american car it would have made it lol idk toyotas are badass 4x4s

  • Wow, urs and my st dads look alota like. Check out my vids

  • Toyota axles and differentials will break no matter what with a 350 under the hood, too much torque for the 8'' ring gear making it an unreliable rig when wheeling like that. Best to try the Birfield eliminator axles, chromolys break easy as well. Or go 1 ton running gear.

  • the fact that it has double the cyls it was built for dosent help

  • where is this at?

  • AIR PRESSURE is everything. run about 5 psi in that slick stuff

welded frontend is a sure bet for broken axles

  • swap out the stock birfs for some aftermarket long fields or profields...way stronger...stock birfs are good till about 35" with stock power....more then that...and thay are time bombs...

  • I appriciate the info. I'm still learning a lot about the toyota set up. I actually welded the front end shortly after watching the video and realized it may have been a little help.
