  • @waaluss *sigh* Dude, I said it's the "Dimarzio Crunch Lab (Petrucci)",

which (obviously) means it's his signature pup, not that it (or I) sound like Petrucci.

Besides, it's also a matter of wood and amp/effect adjustment to "sound" like Petrucci.

But then; to sound also implicates to play like him.

People are pretty naive if they think a pup automatically provides THE artist's sound. Cheers.

  • @VonHendrixTV the crunch lab has a 7string version too, i think it will work. the d activator x will be even heavier than the crunch lab.

  • dimarzio's are better <3

  • @VonHendrixTV Petrucci has used the Crunch Lab for all of their studio albums since Black Clouds and Silver Linings and even prefers having the Crunch Lab/LiquiFire set in his baritone guitars. Hope this helps.

  • Would the crunch lab sound good on my basswood body Jackson that is tuned to B standard? or would it sound wrong? I'm thinking of either getting a crunch lab, or a d activator-X. But idk if they can handle the low tuning.......
