On this day in 1970 {April 19th} a video of Paul McCartney performing "Maybe I'm Amazed" was aired on the CBS-TV program 'The Ed Sullivan Show'

Seven years later on February 12th, 1977 a live version of the song entered Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart; eventually it peaked at #10 and spent 13 weeks on the Top 100

The studio version was recorded for the 1970 album 'McCartney' {Side two, track five}

R.I.P. Mr. Sullivan {1901 - 1974} and Sir Paul will celebrate his 71st birthday this coming June 18th

I like the organ sound when Paul is singin the Ooo's and ah's. The audience treatment is like a church sermon. I like Paul' mistakes because he'll find another interpretation to keep the song going. But I didn't like how he cut off the guitar solo and organ solos all together in this performance.
