Former New York Yankee second baseman and current San Diego Padre announcer Jerry Coleman shares about his experiences in World War II and Korea as a Marine and about his years as a Yankee. Coleman is the only Major League Baseball player to see action in two wars. He shared his story at the American Veterans Center's 2008 conference.
He and Phil Rizzuto were my favorite Yankee announcers, and I used to like to hear him on the national broadcasts on CBS radio.
