  • I've found that yes, pump seals do not last quite as long, but their expense is nominal considering salt's savings. Also, on a metal wall vinyl liner pool, or an above ground pool, leaks behind the liner with a salt system can certainly lead to corrosion.

  • i took my salt gen back. it had to run like 10 hours just to make a pint of salt clorine . So now i just add a little clorox every other day. perfect!

  • Marcus, what about the galvanization that happens for any metals that are associated with the pool?
