Man from Manhattan by Eddie Howell featuring Freddie Mercury on backing vocals and Brian May on guitar. Also produced by Freddie.

Lyrics:
Hey, little lady do you love me
As much as you tell me you do
Oh, I'm not the man you think I am
The game I've been playing is through

Hey, little girl do you trust me
Oh, I'm gonna tell you no lies
I'm gonna come clean don't make a scene
I've been hiding behind a disguise

Oh, I'm the man from manhattan, ole
The man with a price on his head (lots of money)
The man from manhattan
The surface is satin
But the lining is laden with lead

Oh, I've been a fugitive too long
Running away from my fame
My enemies flee at the sight of me
They shake at the sound of my name

'Cos I'm the man from manhattan, ole
The man with a price on his head (go and get the deputy)
The man from manhattan
The surface is satin
But the lining is laden with lead

But don't be afraid
It's only a dream (I'm only dreaming)
An imaginary hero
A vision I have seen
Oooh, ah, ah, ah, cuckoo

I know my true destination
The day will eventually come
I tell you my friend I know my end will be
When I'm standing alone in the sights of a gun
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh

Oh, I'm the man from manhattan, ole
The man with a price on his head, yeah
The man from manhattan
The surface is satin
But the lining is laden with lead

'Cos I'm the man from manhattan, ole (everybody listen)
The man with a price on his head (lots of money)
The man from manhattan
The surface is satin
But the lining is laden with lead (oooh, oooh, lead)

  • And Freddie Mercury Is God :D

  • This song is an excellent example of Queen's godlike talent level. Eddie Howell's at best mediocre song with his amateur voice is made into a fantastic song and tell me that it's not the Freddie bg vocals along with Brian's awesome guitar solo which clearly lifts the song into awesome moments of greatness.

  • The "Hey little girl do you trust me" line sounds A LOT like Freddie's voice.

  • As Brian's dad Harold once said - "I can always tell when Brian's on a record. You don't have to tell me - I know!" Same goes for Freddie - two brilliant musicians.

  • Jesus!!! I love it!!!!!!

  • Super freddie!!!!!

  • @hminkema Eddie was more appreciated in the Netherlands than he was here in the uk.

  • @72guttercat: Never a hit? It was clearly a hit over here in The Netherlands.

  • How this was never a hit is a mystery to me. Awesome

  • mp3iify works again wooohooo awesome - google mp3iify

  • David, tienes muchas canciones, que en mi vida habia escuchado, y que desconocia por completo. Me alegro de haberme topado con tu cannal de YouTube! Gracías amigo!

  • I~love this music. It's like Cabaret music. I might be young, but I can appreciate great music. It's a shame that people my age and younger are listening to people like Miley, I mean to each it's on, but where is the talent like this now days?
