@stedixy Late reply, but from what i understand, it is a modified cover of the theme distraught desmond. Hope that helps

such a amazing finale, so emotional

Who would have thought that when Desmond was first introduced at the beginning of Season 2 that he would end up being such a vital character to the overall Lost plot.

I know this question has been asked a few times, but does anybody know if the music played when Desmond kisses the key is on the soundtrack?

Damn, that scene with the letter. It about had me crying right along with Des. Poor guy.

@DragonUltraMaster the button's purpose is to restrain the effects of an electromagnetic anomaly on the island. Not pressing the button sort of "raises the barrier". Since this 'force' is electromagnetic, metal objects begin flying towards it. If left for a while, the 'force' would cause devastation on the island. Turning the key is a fail-safe. I believe it detonates the anomaly.
The gyphs just mean you're screwed.

Does thoes.. signs(?) mean anything?
I mean, instead of numbers and the time counting down, those "System failure" signs shows up. What do they mean?
First time I saw them, I thought it was kinda like releasing hell
