I practically live on the island during the summer and I've never been this close to the ponies nor have I seen people this close. Its probably because I follow the rules....

nor should they be within 200ft of the horses,and they should also remain either behind the fencing or within the configns of a vehicle.

It's against park regulations to pet or feed the horses. Leave them alone and keep your food in a cooler - not plastic bags!
