Voce tagliente, squillante, piena, robusta e potente, acuti che paiono vere e proprie folgori e ciel sereno, tutti sicurissimi, meravigliosamente appoggiati e girati a regola d'arte ; la massacrante tessitura di questa difficilissima romanza pucciniana viene dominata con assoluta disinvoltura ; da sottolineare che la Jones, alla fine, non esita a cantare la frase di Calaf. Insomma : questa è ARTE pura, e non c'è altro da aggiungere. Una donna da ammirare e da amare : BRAVA GWYNETH !!!!!

A real fury ... A good one indeed! What a thrill to hear Dame Gwyneth in this gruelling role. The higher and the more dramatic and climaxing it goes, and the happier she seems to be. Her voice was HUGE! One of the most exciting of all dramatic soprani. A particular role which she understudied with Dame Eva Turner, the best Turandot ever, after that of Maria Jeritza.
