The Mythicist Position - illustrated article:

The Mythicist Position:

"Mythicism represents the perspective that many gods, goddesses and other heroes and legendary figures said to possess extraordinary and/or supernatural attributes are not "real people" but are in fact mythological characters. Along with this view comes the recognition that many of these figures personify or symbolize natural phenomena, such as the sun, moon, stars, planets, constellations, etc., constituting what is called "astrotheology."

"As a major example of the mythicist position, various biblical characters such as Adam and Eve, Satan, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Joshua, King David, Solomon & Jesus Christ, among other figures, in reality represent mythological characters along the same lines as the Egyptian, Sumerian, Phoenician, Indian, Greek, Roman and other godmen, who are all presently accepted as myths, rather than historical figures."

"There is no full concrete (100%) evidence that God does not exists" REALLY? so if I told you that I can fly & you tell me to prove it, & I tell you to prove that I can't fly? How are you going to prove that I can't fly?

Extraordinary claims DEMAND Extraordinary evidence, NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND!

"We know from texts and from archaeology that traditional israelite religion involved venerating the ancestors, the gods of the underworld, so to speak. We know from texts at least and from iconography that we find in the ground that traditional israelite religion involved venerating the stars and the planets. We know therefore that traditional israelite religion was polytheistic."

LOL, you merely confirm how little you understand the standards by which we examine evidence. There's no credible evidence for god - that's 100%. We leave 1% in cases that consist of negatives - proving something doesn't exist. We can prove positives - claims about god, Jesus etc & they've all failed. So, it's dumb to take that 1% & act like it means something it does not, which confirms your utter ignorance on this issue.

I've wasted enough time on you. Come back when you have valid evidence.

There is no full concrete (100%) evidence that God does not exists either. Lets focus on your statement "absence of evidence is evidence of absence". When somebody does not have evidence, that means it is not proven. Scientists were not able to prove that God does not exists because there is always something before the atom, Big Bang Theory, etc. You just contradicted yourself, "I leave 1% to be open because we cannot prove a negative in this case". Exactly, we cannot prove if God exists or not
