Just A Girl by No Doubt.

This video is not meant to show an FC, it's just me playing the song on the Ion Drum Rocker with proper cymbal use where the real drummer used cymbals. This is the first video with my new cymbal layout, using a 2nd 10" cymbal for blue open hi-hat notes. Soon I'll have 2 green crashes (left and right) up too.

As you probably know by now, I don't really play for score, so I don't care about optimal paths or squeezing.

I'm playing these on my Ion Drum Rocker with a Roland PDX-8 as the red pad and a Pintech TC 10" cymbal as the yellow closed hi-hat cymbal. I also added a clear Pintech 10" PC as my blue open hi-hat, and a Translucent Blue Pintech 12" VisuLite as my blue ride cymbal.

Hi Dave, awesome setup for the ion!, I'm having lots of problems with the original cymbals since they break easily, although I decided to pad the new ones and they are holding up fairly well, I want to change them for a set like yours but I don't know if they are compatible with the ion brain... I also noticed that you use 4 of them while the outputs of the module only allows for 8 connections, do you have a video explaining how to setup your set?, I would really appreciate it, keep on rocking!!

I just used simple mono 1/4" Y-adapters on the Ion cymbal ports to plug in multiple cymbals. Nothing complicated. :)

how does the Pintech TC cymbal you have for your hihatt feel. I'm thinking about getting 3 of the TC series for my Alesis E-drums. the 10, 14, and 18 inch

cool. can you tell me how loud the pedal is? i mean if you were in 2nd floor do you think they'l hear you kicking downstairs n does it make alot of vibrations onthe floor kicking like that stomping sound?

Hmm I'm not sure I can answer that, since I've never used it on a 2nd floor. Watch for my next video, which is a noise comparison between the Roland KD-8 and Yamaha KP65. It might answer that. :)
