Back in Brazil, at a village named São Francisco do Paraguaçu (Bahia), India Arie met a blind boy called Jai, who loved to sing, just like her.
With his music, he was able to bring her to her very pure and deepest feelings about her thoughts and passions about music, love, faith and simplicity.

Later, India Arie would refer to this experience of her in her song "There's Hope".
