Not only Schnabel recorded a marvelous set of the Beethoven, he recorded the Brahms concertos.

  • Year? Exciting in Beethoven and supposedly the great architect! Well, this is energetic and unbelievably clean&forward moving. This is even personal . I may even discover a philosophy to it-he knew Brahms . But ,the b flat Brahms is a scary ,messy story with Schnabel and u think he was deaf to let any of the pressings out of the room. Because it ain't a case of intention shining through bumps on a piano! I hope andante proves a revelation which Schnabel offers often!
